Alternatief pianoconcert van P-ART met indische spirit: hoofdzakelijk eigen werk op vleugel, lithofoon (DIY), tabla's, bansuri en klankvoorwerpen. Piano in de titel heeft dubbele betekenis (piano en zacht). Met respect niet voor de decibels maar voor de innerlijke kracht van tonen en boventonen. Instant compositions. Organisch-intuïtief spel van de componist, de vertolker, de improvisator, de luisteraar, alles in één.

"Inner Cities" is a piano cycle started in 1992 with 11.5 works of varying durations featuring a single sonic idea. The overall character of these pieces is a quiet and inwardly focused on finely crafted sound objects. Each piece is uniquely different from the others, like Paris is to New York City.The entire INNER CITIES is a book of 11.5 pieces by Alvin Curran. DENMARK'S INTUITIVE MUSIC CONFERENCE 2002 A meeting for improvisors, composers and other intuitive artists, since 1995. They will again work with free improvisation, open compositions and graphic notation and have a lot of playing together. Takes place in nice rural surroundings at Rudme, Funen, in the middle of Denmark. Primitive accomodation, but many separate rooms. Fee for participation, food and accomodation will be max. 120 $. Time: AUGUST 30-31 + SEPT 1.
SPECIALITY: NOTATION / MUSIC FORMS BETWEEN COMPOSITION AND IMPROVISATION.
Please bring your own graphic/verbal scores, improvisation exercises and all other relevant materials for use and exchange. For the notation/ composition/improvisation conference we would like you to shortly present pieces etc. you like and comment upon them. There will be space in the playing sessions for workshop-like activities, depending on the needs and what participants bring along. We plan to exchange scores and play some at the concert session.As ever, there will also be free playing, tutti and in random groups. When you enter the world tune web, automatically you trigger a sound that will be played at the local loudspeaker sculpture in Berlin. In this way, you participate to the dynamic soundscape changes in the Berlin sculpture.

(Look at: P-ART WEB ARTIST #5) Come to Marchin (8 km from Huy, Belgium) on Sunday 13th of August, and listen (16:30 ) to the "Marvy Music" concert of the local brass band with the ears of Oosterlynck's acoustical prosthesis, made of the same material of brass instruments.
