To present my recordbox Anthology (1985) I have chosen a renovated factory hall in Louvain (Belgium). It has become a modern shopping, dancing and sports centre where nothing reminds of the red color of the former tomato processing factory.
The white dance hall in the squash centre is equipped with huge mirrors: the perfect setting for my glass installation. I had chosen ancient deep blue glass panes because of their special acoustic qualities. This glass formation, pending on microphone stands, constituted a immense line sound.

In the darkly reflecting depth of the enormous mirrors the turntable hovered, "playing" my silence-record.
These installations refer to the two musical essentials in my artistic box: the glass plate and the silence record.
With my Anthology I infringe in many ways on the conventional idea of a record box.
There is the silence record, which is to be played on a normal turntable turning at 33,3 revs/sec, but without using the stylus.
Just like all music violates the silence, this record will engrave the rotating word silence in your mind.
The literary package stands somewhere between the bizarre fascination of the unspeakable and the musical meaning of words, as an element of the artistic box.
A graphical jacket contains pictural creations that refer to my music and to unique musical projects. These constitute the contents of the fourth white jacket.

If you take the four white jackets out of the artistic box, you find at the bottom the musical sarcophagus. It can be opened by removing the glass cover. The acoustical glass cover two pilars of primeval words. In between rest the metal sound hooks, embedded in felt that has lost its historical function as a material for building pianos.
The musical remnant of the sarcophagus is the cassette. Listen to a short excerpt in mp3 sarcopha
Paard (Horse) which is the title of the music, is the one of the primeval words that together with the sound hooks and the glass constitute the musical ingredients. The cassette can be listened to and the owner of the artistic box can use this music as a prelude. The sarcophagus then becomes an instrument in the creation of his own music which can be recorded on the unused track of the cassette.
The presentation of my Anthology took place on February 2, 1985, near the construction of my squash-chapel : a blind walk in the dark squashcourt with its spatial resonance, while  listening to my composition "Meta".
