In the eighties I produced hundreds of personal recordings with the very satisfying analog sound recorder REVOX B77 (38 cm/sec + speed controller) in combination with the sensitive dynamic hypercardioid microphone BEYER N88, later I used the Aiwa stereo microphone. In the nineties I saved many P-ART compositions in MIDI-format   on my   versatile Roland KR4500, and I composed via the complete MIDI-notation software ENCORE for Atari ST & later for Mac. Unfortunately, Encore isn't upgraded to the latest operating system of Apple. (Remark: in the new millenium the wonder is arrived: Encore is edited now again for Mac users!) In the meanwhile, I saved MIDI-compositions and improvisations on the Roland RA 95 (sound & style arranger module) controlled by the Gulbransen grandpiano scanner at my grand or by the pitch-to-midi converter Roland CP-40. (see instrumental page part 3)In the nineties I entered my DAT-recordings mostly with musique concrète or sound scapes into the MIDJAY hardware module.
For digital recording or converting tapes with acoustic soundscapes and performances, my portable DAT- recorder (SONY DC7)  was practical, and it is very satisfying with 48 kHZ sample range (higher than CD-quality), about acoustic input always in combination with the low-noise sensitive AIWA stereo microphone.

I use sampling soft PEAK for Mac to polish the multisamples and to transfer waves and music fragments first to my synthesizer / sampleplayer EQUINOX 76, today to my EQUINOX 88 PRO.

Till about 20 years ago I recored many experimental audiovisual tracks with  Hitachi handy 8 mm camera. Later, I bought the ultra-compact camcorder Sony DCR-PC9 on which I convert analoge 8mm-tapes to the digital platform. iMOVIE (video-editing for Mac) is still my actual basic software to edit my art-videos, visits to art and music performances.

In 2006, a MacBook was the end station of all audiorecording that I realize: DAT, extracting audio parts from my video compositions, MidJay harddiskrecording, Kawai PR-1 recording system, and converting analogue ((8mm videotapes, DV-tapes, etc) to digital signal.

Today I use  my powerful iMac  with Superdrive to edit and release  audiovisual P-ART tracks  and  Youtube trailers etc.

To produce DVDs  with audio and audio visual stuff  I use  Toast Titanium.  It's a pitty that the upgrade of iDVD soft  (for Mac)  is stopped. iDVD  has /had more features to deliver sofisticated generics etc.
