This is the cover of the PIANOSUITE TAPE COMPOSITION ©1984-1986 Listen to an excerpt: click on > P-ART MUSIC CABINET (click and learn>) Rituel dance patterns INSTALLATION Royal Version of the Ritual Dance This open composition is transmusical music. Light and space belong to the essence of this ritual creation. Images and motion grow and are engedered by this music.
White pillars or naked puppets, draped like caryatids, reveal the unreality of superhuman forces.
A horse, covered with silver brocade, dominates the royal ritual. Without aim or training, it occupies its own place. The pillars form a half circle. Within this space the horse is free to move, to step, to lie down, to listen, or to ... disappear. Pillars and horse embrace the open space.
There, the ritual dancer (male/female), on bare feet and if possible naked, cloud in a transparent clothe or royal silk, will perform the ritual dance.
The attentive listener can share the experience. The installation is an open performance and every one can execute his own ritual dance. Although a lot is required from the listener-performer, he certainly does not have to be a professional dancer. In essence he has to comply with and respect the music as it has been composed for the ritual dance, but he also has to fully experience his own bodily nature and retain the appropriate listening attitude while going through the prescribed dance patterns. The dance can also be performed in the intimacy of the own home, without public and without the material surroundings that have been described.
